Concorso per artisti fino ai 40 anni
Il 1 gennaio 2024 apre il concorso “SII LA DIFFERENZA…CON L’ARTE”/“BE THE DIFFERENCE…WITH ART!” 2024, ideato ed organizzato dal Rotary Club Asolo e Pedemontana del Grappa, appartenente al Rotary International, associazione globale che dal 1905 riunisce persone accomunate dallo spirito di servizio, con l’obiettivo non solo di rendere migliore la vita di coloro che si trovano in difficoltà, ma, altresì, di promuovere valori di civiltà quali amicizia, cultura, rispetto del territorio ed educazione.
Con una rete globale di 1,2 milioni di uomini e donne intraprendenti il Rotary si impegna a realizzare innumerevoli progetti di sostegno a comunità e realtà presenti in diversi settori: dall’ambiente all’infanzia, dalla salute all’arte.
E, con l’obiettivo ultimo di promuovere l’arte emergente, il Rotary Club di Asolo e Pedemontana del Grappa, attraverso il proprio service “Adotta un artista”, sostiene da anni giovani talentuosi nelle loro istanze di ricerca nell’arte contemporanea.
Il Concorso si rivolge agli artisti di ogni nazionalità under 40, che potranno partecipare interpretandolo personalmente attraverso la propria sensibilità con opere pittoriche e scultoree, installazioni (multimediali, luminosi, etc.), fotografie, disegni, grafica e videoarte.
L’iscrizione è on-line, dal sito www.bethedifferencewithart.com, dove è scaricabile il bando del concorso (Art. 3 – Modalità di partecipazione) e si chiuderà il 10 marzo 2024.
Tra tutti i lavori pervenuti verranno selezionate un numero massimo di 20 opere finaliste che saranno esposte presso il Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova di Possagno (TV) dal 29 giugno al 28 luglio 2024. I finalisti del premio verranno selezionati, con il supporto di alcuni componenti del Club, da una Commissione di Valutazione: Carlo Sala - Presidente di Commissione, Sergio Dal Pio, Novelio Furin, Cristina Masturzo e Alberta Pane.
Il processo di selezione dell’opera vincitrice sarà a cura dei soci del Rotary Club Asolo e Pedemontana del Grappa e all’artista che risulterà aggiudicatario del premio, oltre all’opportunità di esporre presso la prestigiosa istituzione museale suindicata, verrà corrisposta una somma in denaro di € 3.500,00, comprensivo di oneri fiscali imposti dalla legge. L'opera entrerà a far parte della collezione del Club e sarà la base di ulteriori progetti benefici da parte dell’Associazione.
La proclamazione del vincitore avverrà in concomitanza dell’inaugurazione della Mostra che, come detto, si terrà il giorno 29 giugno 2024 alle ore 17.00.
Tale progetto si pone in continuità con lo spirito rotariano, che aspira ad un mondo dove tutti i popoli promuovono cambiamenti positivi e duraturi nelle comunità vicine, in quelle lontane e in ognuno di noi, mettendo in campo le proprie professionalità, seguendo alti valori morali e rendendosi disponibili dedicando tempo e sforzi nel perseguire i progetti di Club.

Competition for artists up to 40 years
Starting 1 January 2024 the "BE THE DIFFERENCE ... WITH ART!" 2024 competition is open for entries. The competition was conceived and is held by the Rotary Club of Asolo and Pedemontana del Grappa, part of Rotary International. Since 1905, this global organization has been bringing together people united by their desire to serve, with the aim not only of improving the lives of those in difficulty, but also fostering values of fellowship, friendship, culture, respect for community values and education.
With a global network of 1.2 million members, Rotary is dedicated to performing countess projects in support of communities and bodies working in a range of sectors, from the environment to education, from health to art. It is with this last sector in mind, with the aim of promoting emerging artists and their work, that the Rotary Club of Asolo and Pedemontana del Grappa has for many years now been supporting talented young people in their exploration of contemporary art, and helping up-and-coming artists through its “Adopt an Artist” initiative.
The Competition is open to artists of all nationalities under the age of 40 who may enter by offering their own interpretation of the competition using their own artistic vision through painting, sculpture, installation (multimedia, light, etc.), photography, drawing, graphics and videoart.
Enrolment is online at www.bethedifferencewithart.com where the competition rules may also be downloaded (article 3, Application Procedure). Entries must be received by March 10th 2024.
A shortlist of 20 works will be selected from among all the works received, and these will be exhibited at the Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova in Possagno (TV) from 29 June 2024 to 28 July 2024. The final shortlist of 20 works will be selected by the Evaluation Panel, supported by a number of Club members, and the judges’ decision will be final. The Panel will be made up of leading professionals in the sector:Carlo Sala - President of Commission, Sergio Dal Pio, Novelio Furin, Cristina Masturzo, Alberta Pane.
Once the winner has been decided, the Rotary Club Asolo e Pedemontana del Grappa will purchase the work which will become part of its collection that forms the basis for further charitable projects by the Association. The selection process of the winning work of art will be carried out by the members of the Rotary Club Asolo e Pedemontana del Grappa in a private session, and their decision will be final. The winning artist will receive a cash sum of € 3,500.00 (inclusive of all taxes) and will also have the opportunity to exhibit at the Museo Gypsotheca Antonio Canova.
The winner will be declared at the exhibition vernissage, to be held on29 June 2024 at 5 pm.
This project is in line with the spirit of Rotarian values which aspire to a world where peoples come together using their skills and professionalism to promote positive and lasting changes in communities both near and far, following high moral values, making themselves available by dedicating time and effort in pursuing Club projects.
